I’m a wife, mother of two teenage boys, psychotherapist, and a former creative director in the music industry. My fascination with people’s stories and the complexities of human nature began at a young age. As a 12-year-old immigrant from Iran, I navigated my new environment by observing those around me, seeking to assimilate while staying true to my core identity. This journey had its challenges, and it wasn’t until my 20s that I fully embraced and blended both cultures.
In my early adult years, I gained firsthand experience in the music industry, learning to navigate the corporate world while collaborating with creatives. Later, my role as a mother—both my most rewarding and challenging —deepened my interest in the human psyche and sparked my desire to become a therapist.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and trained at the prestigious Southern California Counseling Center in Los Angeles. There, I worked with individuals, couples, and families, led a parenting group, and counseled students in LAUSD schools. I have also completed additional training in the following areas:
Additional Training:
EMDR - Institute of Creative Mindfulness (ICM)
Attachment-Focused/Trauma and EMDR, Laura Parnell Method
The Trauma Resource Institute - Community Resiliency Model (CRM)
The Trauma Resource Institute - Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)
SCCC School-Based Training Program (LAUSD)
SCCC Clinical Skills Training Program
SCCC Family/Couples Therapy Training Program
I am deeply passionate about my work and feel humbled every day by the stories of my clients, witnessing their incredible courage and resilience.
